Dubai is a city where everything could be found, So it becomes rather confusing to decide the places you love to go and things you prefer to do. and actually when I started to write this article I found myself also confused about from where I should begin and which places I should start with. So I thought that it might be helpful if I categorized it according to type and style of places and interests to do.

1. Dubai Museum
Museum is actually one of the few old places to to go in Dubai, however it is dated back to 1971 when the ruler of country Sheikh Zayed had opened it to document the heritage of Dubai and UAE before oil excavation and exploration and the accompanied modernity.

2. Jumeirah Mosque
Dated back to 1976, mosque is one of the well-known highlight of Dubai city and one the best attracting places for city travelers. Styled on Fatimid style, mosque was found to depict a model of Islamic architecture and decoration elements and it is open for non Muslims to go inside.

3. Gurunanak Darbar Sikh Temple
Being a multi-regions city and convincing of coexistence values, Dubai government has decided to grand 25000 kmsq to establish a religious temple of Sikhs at Jebel Ali area at budget of 20 millions dollars. temple serves more than 50000 Sikhi inhabitants. and in 2010 temple was opened to be Gulf`s first Sikh temple.

4. Sheikh Muhammad Cultural Center (SMCCU)
Sheikh Muhammad is Muhammad bin Rachid Almaktoum, vice president, prime minster and ruler of Dubai, and the center is a project to preserve and maximize the values of tolerance and mutual coexistence specially in a large city like Dubai where millions of different nationalities, religions, origins and cultural background are living together. and according to official website, center presents itself as: “Sheikh Muhammad saw the need to reach out and educate expatriates in the traditions and customs of the UAE. 5. Bastakia Quarter
Another ancient place to go in Dubai is Bastakia quarter which dated back to 17th century founded by Persian merchants to include private houses and motels-a-like for the passing merchants of this reign. Bastakia area includes Dubai museum and SMCCU in addition to other heritage sites.
Bastakia was named after city of Bastak in Iran and it is very feathered by its old style of architecture and decorations of Persian art style.
